Corrigendum

Stores, G. (2003) Misdiagnosing sleep disorders as primary psychiatric conditions. APT, 9, 69–77.

The fourth and fifth sentences of the second paragraph (p. 69) should read ‘A review by Gillin (1998) demonstrates that, in both those with and without a previous psychiatric history, insomnia and/or hypersomnia are risk factors for later development or recurrence of depression, anxiety states or substance misuse. Detection and treatment of the sleep disturbance at an early stage might have important preventive value (Ford & Kamerow, 1989).’
