I believe that gulf war syndrome has far from gone. There are many people in high places who have "ordered" this syndrome not to exist. On the other hand, there are many people, also in high places, who are willing to stake their jobs that gulf war illness is very real, and very much exists. We seem to be in a very perverse situation on this subject, in that 50% are for and 50% are against! This is also, a most perverse position for the medical world to be in- efectivley a stalemate situation! The question one must ask is, given this stalemate, is it really fair on the concerned veterans and there families to be placed in this situation? I think not. It is 2009 now; how long is this going to go on for, and for whose benefit?
