It is my hypothesis that all tissues rely on dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) for optimal function. Therefore, mental, physical, and social illnesses may be derived from low DHEA and the effects of low DHEA on gene expression.

It is also my hypothesis that cannabis exerts its effects by blocking DHEA from its receptor. Therefore, cannabis use will exacerbate problems caused by low DHEA.
