The section on Ginkgo Biloba did not include a mention of the latest randomized controlled trial. Dekosky et al followed up over 3000 subjects over about 6 years. They found that Gingko biloba was not effective in reducing either the overall incidence rate of dementia or Alzheimer disease incidence in elderly individuals with normal cognition or those with mild cognitive impairment.
